一场关于光学透镜技术的台湾商业秘密诉讼最终以和解告终，没有人需要坐牢。Largan Precision 公司对竞争对手 Ability Opto-Electronics 及其董事长、总裁和四名前 Largan 员工提起商业秘密盗窃和版权侵权诉讼。据称 Ability 从四名前 Largan 员工处获得了商业机密。

不仅提出了民事诉讼，还提出了刑事诉讼。台中地方法院判定被告全部有罪，并处以经济和监禁处罚（约 $51 万美元和 5-6 个月监禁）。此后不久，拉根根据和解协议撤回了所有申诉，结束了长达六年的诉讼。
